Text-to-pay (or Text2pay) is a modern solution for businesses looking to streamline transactions. It allows you to receive payments through a simple SMS message.
This feature is functional in various scenarios. For example, if you’re at a networking event and meet someone interested in your marketing services, you can quickly set up a payment request through a text message.
It’s also handy if you’re on a call with someone who decides they want to start your coaching sessions and send their payment immediately.
Currently, MEGAVISION requires you to set up this feature manually, as workflow automation is not yet available. But don’t worry. You can have it ready in just a few minutes or seconds and start accepting money on your mobile device immediately.
Besides being able to use it with the platform’s phone system, here are some of the best reasons why you should consider using this feature.
There are three requirements before you can access and use this feature.
First, you must have a MEGAVISION account. You can register for a free trial or become a paying member.
Next, this feature requires integration with Stripe for payment processing. To enable smooth transactions, set up your Stripe account first.
Lastly, you need to be an Admin or have access to the Agency dashboard to integrate the Stripe account for the sub-business profiles.
Choose a sub-account and click the “Payments” tab on the dashboard.
Select “Connect Your Stripe Account” inside the “Integrations” tab. Fill in your details and save.
Next, go to the “Conversations” tab and select a message thread to which you want to send a payment request.
Select the dollar sign icon at the bottom.
On the pop-up form, add all the items and prices you want to charge for.
Select the dropdown arrow beside the “Additional Options” to choose whether to link live immediately or test it first. If this is your first time, go for the latter. Once done, click “Copy link and mark as sent.”
You’ll see a default message that contains the link.
You can copy and paste it to a new tab so you’ll get a view of what your clients will see. It will be an invoice with a clickable button.
When clients are ready to pay, they can click that and provide their payment details.
Even though the automatic sending of text2pay links is unavailable, you can set up a MEGAVISION workflow for actions after your clients pay successfully.
